Randco Tanks has been owned and operated by the Salvig family for 20 years. It all started when Randy Salvig opened up shop out of a one-bay barn in Castle Rock, Washington, in 2001. Today the company is headquartered in Kelso, Washington. Randco specializes in manufacturing and supplying superior water tank and tender systems for a wide variety of applications. They are also a leading parts distributor for the water tank industry, supplying pumps, valves, assemblies, components, and materials on a national and global scale.
Randco is best known for their ability and willingness to customize their tank and tender builds to meet each customer’s specific needs. When they started working with Hannay Reels, they were able to take customization to the next level, all the way down to reels. Before using Hannay reels, Randco was unable to add on an electric motor. With Hannay, it’s more than possible.
“Having a reel that is flexible is very valuable to us,” said Tyler Salvig, general manager of Randco Tanks. “We want to be able to accommodate our customers in every way we can. Being able to add on an electric motor to a reel after purchase has come in handy quite a bit. We are able to upgrade manual reels for customers or modify the ones we have in-house if we need an electric rewind reel for a project on short notice,” explained Salvig.
Salvig and his team use Hannay’s 1-1⁄2 inch power and manual rewind hose reels on their builds. These reels have a heavy-duty construction and can be mounted in a variety of ways, which makes them ideal for their products. “We really appreciate Hannay’s high-quality design and three-year warranty. It’s nice to know the reels will stand up to rough conditions and that we are able to support customers long after their initial purchase,” said Salvig.
