Hannay Reels Customization Options

Hannay reels can be tailored to your exact requirements with a wide range of rewind choices, materials, and accessories.

Rewind Options

• Manual rewind: Hand crank, gear-driven, direct crank, or chain-driven
• Spring rewind: Contained coil-like spring motor
• Powered rewind: Electric, hydraulic, or air motor

Additional Spring Rewind Options

Spring rewind reels roller positions can be adjusted for the different types of mounting styles:

• SR (Standard Drag): Best when the reel is installed upright (floor-to-eye level), on a wall with payout close to the wall, or on a ceiling where the hose or cable runs parallel to the surface
• VR (Vertical Lift): Use when hose or cable will be pulled straight upward—such as an upright reel with vertical payout, ceiling-mounted reels lifting hose or cable, or wall mounts requiring direct horizontal pull
• TR (Stretch or Wall-Mount Payout): Ideal for floor-mounted reels, ceiling installations with parallel payout, or wall mounts where hose or cable is pulled straight down

Installation Flexibility

Hannay reels can be adapted to nearly any mounting requirement:

• Mounting options: Floor, wall, ceiling, vehicle, trailer, or cart installations
• Location of various components: Fluid path (hub assembly), collector assemblies, and motors can be configured in different ways, depending on the space available and mounting requirements

• Heavy-gauge steel (standard)
• Stainless steel or aluminum for corrosion resistance

Finishes

• Standard: Oven-cured enamel in graphite is standard
• Optional: Special primers and paint colors are available upon request
