Hundreds of kids in upstate New York have spent their summers on the ballfield, thanks to Guilderland Baseball. The community depends on Guilderland Baseball—a nonprofit focused on sportsmanship, courage, and respect. So, when they noticed their baseball diamonds drying out, they turned to Hannay to keep the game going.
“Getting the right amount of moisture into the clay is the only way to keep the mound safe, which is why having reliable reels is a must for us,” says Mark Blaauboer, Guilderland Baseball’s facility manager. Hannay and Guilderland Baseball discussed motor drive, roller position, and inlet size, ultimately landing on two 6000 Series power rewind reels—one designated for the pitcher’s mound and another for the entire field.

Now, we just hit a button and direct the hose back onto the reel without breaking a sweat.”
