Allegheny’s GeoVISION™ borehole camera systems are inspecting wells, mines, and caves all over the world. One of the system’s key components is the reel that manages extra-long, extra-strength cables, often in high pressures and harsh conditions—sometimes, even thousands of feet underwater. Allegheny looked to Hannay for a rugged, reliable reel that could stand up to their intense system operations. Hannay provided the portable cable reel, constructed with an aluminum and steel crank handle and cam-lock drag device.
Over the years, Allegheny has never strayed from Hannay reels because of their quality, efficiency, and the ability to make modifications to the reel when needed, primarily with hubs and spindles.
